October 30, 1933 – April 4, 2025

Glenda L Piffer (McKinney), reunited with the lord on April 4th, 2025 at HopeWest Ferris Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her presence blessed her family and friends for 91 years. Glenda was born in Carbondale Colorado on a beautiful fall day; October 30th, 1933. Her parents were Thelma and Jessie James McKinney. Glenda grew up on her parent’s ranch in Redstone, Colorado. In 1952, Glenda married Rollo Douglas McDonald. Glenda and Doug welcomed three children Doug Jr., Cindy and Daniel. Glenda and Doug Sr. paths separated, and Glenda met and married Charles (Chuck) Piffer. Glenda was a master gardener. Anyone who came to her home would receive the grand tour of her well-maintained and beautiful garden. She grew rows of peas, raspberries, strawberries and grew trees full of walnuts, apples and peaches. Glenda was a skilled seamstress, and an amazing cook.
Glenda will be remembered by her Son, Daniel McDonald of New Castle Colorado. Daughter-Cindy Stewart (McDonald) of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Brother, James McKinney of Grand Junction, Colorado, and her Beloved Chocolate Lab, Bailey.

A memorial service will happen on April 17th, 2025, at the Calahan Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, Colorado. Viewing 10:00-11:00 am, Service 11:00 am. There will be a dedication of the grave on the same day on April 17th, 2025 at 2:00 pm, at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
