March 16, 1950 – September 12, 2022

Harold Cox of Glenwood Springs, Colorado passed away on September 12, 2022 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family.

Harold was born in San Bernardino, California to Glenn and Dorothy Cox. After graduating in 1968 from Eisenhower High School located in Rialto, California he enlisted in the United States Army serving 1 year in Vietnam.

In November of 1970 he married his high school sweetheart Jeannie Blair. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage.

In 1972 he was selected to join the Operating Engineers Apprentice program and graduated in 1974. He continued to be a heavy equipment operator for the next 45 years.

He is preceded in death by his father Glenn. Survivors include his mother Dorothy, wife Jeannie, son Matt (Lisa) Cox, daughter Becky (Jim) Westphal, son Dereck (Tina) Cox, 7 beautiful granddaughters, Bailey, Drew, Elise, Gracie, Addison, Ellie, Taylor, brother Roy (Billie) Cox and sister Judy (David) Cunningham.

Harold and Jeannie moved to Colorado in 2002 to be closer to their children and granddaughters. Harold loved the great outdoors and was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, and camping. The happiest times of his life were spent at family gatherings. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his 7 beautiful granddaughters.

Harold was a great husband, wonderful father and the best grandfather anyone could wish for. He will always be remembered for his tremendous integrity and willingness to help everyone. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be missed beyond measure.
