With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jesús Benavides, who entered into rest on May 8, 2025, in New Castle, Colorado, at the age of 64.

Jesús was born on November 15, 1960, in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico, son of Brígido Benavides and Socorro Benítez. In January of 1985, shortly after marrying his beloved wife María Guadalupe Benavides, they emigrated together to the United States with the hope of building a new future filled with faith and love.

Jesús was a man of deep Christian faith, devoted to God, his family, and his church community. He loved cars, long drives, and sharing special moments with his wife. He dedicated his life to building meaningful relationships, serving others, and generously and tenderly sharing the Word of God.

He is also survived by his siblings: María de la Luz Villafán, Estela Benítez, Ana María Cortez, Lourdes Vidaurri, Martín Benavides, and Socorro de Jesús. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brígido and Socorro.
