Obituary: Judith Minturn
April 4, 1935 – March 8, 2025
Judith Minturn passed away on March 8, 2025, in Rifle, Colorado. She was born on April 4, 1935, in Berea, Ohio, and grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio. Judith pursued her passion for education at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, where she earned a degree in education. She dedicated her career to teaching in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Colorado, with her final position as a reading teacher at Riverside Junior High in New Castle, Colorado. Following her retirement, Judith relocated to Anna Maria Island, Florida, where she worked as a secretary at Roser Memorial Church and formed many cherished friendships before eventually returning to Colorado. She was a devoted teacher and an avid reader throughout her life. She is survived by her four children: Ann (Arman) White of Kersey, Colorado; Scott (Lesa) Minturn of Rifle, Colorado; Jeff Jacobs of Springfield, Illinois; and Craig (Lisa) Jacobs of Broomfield, Colorado. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Cole (Kristi) White of Kersey, Colorado; Matthew Minturn of Denver, Colorado; and Haesley Minturn of Grand Junction, Colorado; as well as two great-grandchildren, Kayson and Karsyn White of Kersey, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her grandson Andy White of Kersey, Colorado. Judith’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Abode Hospice for their compassionate care during the final months of her life. Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
