Obituary: Judy Lee Tripp

Judy Lee Tripp, 84, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas NV on Aug 30, 2024.
Judy was born on Sept 21, 1939 in Rifle CO to Alma and Weston Creel. Judy was the 3rd of 4 children but grew up in a large extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In her younger years she spent many summers at sheep camp with her family on Brush Creek. She graduated from Rifle High School in 1957, and continued her education at a college in Denver studying nursing.
She married Jack Tripp in 1959, and they moved to CA where their children were born. She was active in her children’s school PTA, bowled in a bowling league, joined a group with her daughter called Indian Maidens, and was a member of the Methodist church, but spent most of her time as a homemaker raising her children, and enjoying family and friends. In 1985, Judy and Jack moved to Las Vegas NV..
After their children were grown, Judy and Jack spent time traveling, enjoying the customs and traditions of the countries they visited. She also enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren and participating in all of their activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Jack Tripp, parents Alma and Weston Creel, brother Tom (Martha) Creel, sister Peggy (Bill) Smith.
She is survived by her children Christa (John) Green Rifle CO, Blaine (Dena) Tripp Las Vegas NV, brother Steve (Debra) Creel Las Vegas NV. Grandchildren Morgan Green, Zach (Rachel) Green, Sean Tripp, Cole Tripp, Seth Green, Amanda Green. Great grandchildren Violet and Ivy Green, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, and while she will be deeply missed, she will always be remembered.
