Linda Holloway was born February 7, 1954 to Joyce M. McCarthy Holloway and Lawrence M. Holloway, an attorney for the Navy Department in Washington D.C. She did most of her schooling in Washington D.C, graduating high school from Immaculata Preparatory School in 1972. Linda then received her B.A in piano and music education from Catholic University of America in 1976. She continued her education in California and received her MBA. Due to a life changing accident and consequent injury, she was not able to continue her career and joined her family in Glenwood Springs (about 1980). She stayed at her grand parents historical home which left an indelible imprint on her and became her forever home until her death. Linda was very dedicated to assisting her family over the years and cared for both parents at home until their deaths. Linda also had a special place in her heart for Glenwood and was purposeful in researching and speaking up on issues/topics to protect and maintain the true essence of Glenwood. She genuinely inherited the intelligence and inclination to be an attorney. She was unconventional, intelligent, had a great sense of humor and had a wide range of friends. She is indeed missed and has left her imprint on many. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. Grandfather Lawrence M. Holloway and grandmother Marie Shelton Holloway, who was a former Glenwood Springs county judge for 17 years. She leaves behind her brother Craig and a cousin, Cindy Baril. Her services will be held at the Glenwood Church of Christ on April 19, 2025 at 11:00am.
