Margie was born September 14, 1954 in Denver, CO to Harold and Mary Jane Green. Her father fell in love with the new sport of skiing and took on the task of teaching it to the entire family. Eventually, when Margie was 11 years old, the family made the decision to move to Vail, Colorado. Margie spent winter weekends ski racing for the middle school team, winning numerous medals and trophies. During this time she also learned the art of cheerleading.

In 1968 the family moved again, this time to Glenwood Springs. She continued to ski, joined the GSHS drill team and played softball during the summer months. She went to work for Valley View Hospital during those summer months when she was 15. For the next two summers she worked at the Dairy Kreme Restaurant. After graduating from GSHS in 1972, Margie continued her education at Mesa State College (Colorado Mesa University) in Grand Junction. In 1973, she was hired by Mountain Bell which allowed her to transfer to Greeley, CO where she continued to work and take classes at UNC. Keeping her job with Mountain Bell she moved back to Glenwood Springs and became shift supervisor of operators.

Once the Bell system was acquired by AT&T she was hired by Rocky Mountain Natural Gas where she met and married the love of her life, Rob Trebesh, in 1982. By 1987 the family had grown to five. Son Clinton was born in 1983, son Mitchell was born in 1986, and daughter Megan was born 1987. While raising their family in Canyon Creek, Margie expanded her working knowledge at several different jobs including owning her own child daycare, learning the profession of Real Estate, working at Boundaries Unlimited, and finally at Sunnyside Retirement Center as the financial manager.

Before retirement, she served as the president with both ESA, a philanthropic sorority, and the Glenwood Springs Lions Club. She won numerous awards for her dedication and involvement in the community. Margie began her retirement in 2016 spending her time gardening and traveling. Not one to rest for long, she accepted the job as treasurer of her neighborhood HOA after moving to West Glenwood in 2019. Other favorite past times included needlework, crafts, painting, pickleball, volunteering, community concerts, and her coffee club. While raising their family, Rob and Margie enjoyed skiing, camping, hiking, cross-country trips, and multiple ocean cruises.

She deeply loved her family, and is survived by her husband Rob, her three children, daughter-in-law Leigh Ann, and four grandchildren (Hayley, Abigail, Sylvie, and Jacob). Also surviving are a brother Gary Green and his wife Karen of Evergreen, multiple nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Lea Kuklinski of Grand Rapids, MI. A sister, Nancy, pre-deceased Margie. All will miss Margie for her love, compassion, competitiveness and sense of humor. Her devotion to friends and family is unparalleled and she will be missed immeasurably.

Margie loved her husband and family intensely and promised to watch over them until we can meet again in the presence of our Lord.

A memorial service to honor Margie is planned for Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM. It will be held at The First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs at 824 Cooper Avenue.
