Obituary: Michael McDonald

Michael Jon McDonald 73, passed away April 28, 2025 following a long illness.
Born July 2, 1951 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, he was the son of the late William R McDonald and Alace M McDonald.
Michael attended Grand Junction High School and graduated in 1970.
Michael returned to Glenwood Springs and was one of the best Carpenters of the vast construction boom around the local ski areas of Colorado.
He was an avid fisherman, an amateur archaeologist, loved to hike and camp in the mountains throughout Western Colorado.
Michael had a large group of friends from the Glenwood area that remained important to him. He made many long-lasting friendships. He moved back to Grand Junction in the early 90’s.
To many of his close friends and family, he was very kind and considerate. He will be missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his Mother Alace, Father Bill and Brother Jeffery McDonald and is survived by his youngest Brother Andrew McDonald, his girlfriend Kathleen Ingram and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be at a later date.
