Obituary: Pete Vincent Bukowich

Pete Vincent Bukowich

Pete was born 12-03-1932 in Glenwood Springs Colorado to Felix and Lou Burnice Bukowich and passed away 2-19-2020 at the Veterans Community Living Center in Rifle, Colorado.

During the Korean conflict Pete was in the Army Band and was stationed in Europe. He played the trombone. After college he worked in hospital medical records. He retired from many years at Boulder Community Hospital as Medical Records Administrator. After retirement Pete enjoyed his classical music, teaching medical terminology at the university, working with the literacy program at the Boulder jail, singing in the church choir, traveling and helping his neighbors.

Pete married Barbara Dunbar and they later divorced.

He is predeceased by his father and mother and brother John Bukowich and brother in law Fred Gerbaz. He is survived by brother Fred Bukowich (Carolyn) of Neosha, Missouri, brother Lawrence of Carbondale, Sister Edna Gerbaz of Glenwood Springs, sister Marjorie Gerbaz of Glenwood Springs and sister Lillian Ranniger (Jim) of Littleton, Colorado and numerous nieces , nephews and friends.

As per Pete wishes there will be no services. Cremation has taken place and ashes will be scattered at a later date.
