Robert Earl Gordon, beloved husband, father, and papa, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on September 12, 1945, in Rapid City, South Dakota, Bob was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for the mountains, beautiful gardens and above all his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Judy; his children, Brenda (Jeff) Simonson, Andrew (Nadine) Gordon, Jennifer (Sam) Harbottle and Scott Gordon; his 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who brought immense joy to his later years. Also surviving is his sister, Shirley Wailes and brother-in-law, James (Wendy) Smith as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held in honor of Bob. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rifle Senior Center, 50 Ute Avenue, Rifle, CO, 81650, in Bob’s memory.
Bob’s legacy of love, laughter, and integrity will be cherished by all who knew him. He always considered himself just another carpenter. He leaves behind a world made better by his presence and a family forever grateful for the time they shared.
