With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Rohn J. Wenzel. He passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2024, three days before his 59th birthday.
Rohn was born on November 22, 1965, to Martha and Robert Wenzel in Rolla, Missouri. Rohn graduated top of his class from Las Vegas Vocational High School, with a technical degree in Airframe and Power Plant Maintenance. He worked in the aviation industry for nearly 40 years, almost exclusively in the Las Vegas Valley. Shortly after his retirement, Rohn moved to Silt, Colorado to be closer to his family.
Rohn was known for his kindness, gentleness, personality, and charm. He quickly endeared himself to everyone he encountered. He had a passion for gadgets, always buying and experimenting with new technological devices and cutting-edge electronics.
Rohn is survived by his mother, Martha (Marcie), his father Robert (Bob), his brother John, his sister Deborah (Debbie), and five nieces and nephews. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
We will be hosting a celebration of life for him on Saturday, December 7, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The celebration will be located at the New Castle Community Center, 423 W. Main Street, New Castle, CO 81647.
