June 1, 1929 – January 19, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thelma June Pardee (Cole) of Glenwood Springs at Valley View Hospital. June left her earthly home on January 19, 2024 with a renewed spring in her step, she skipped into the arms of her heavenly father. Now free of pain she greets those that have gone before her in her heavenly home.
She leaves behind her three daughters Pamela Blank, Leah Samuelson and Denise Clark, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was born to Ned and Katherine (Steinhoff) Cole in Cambridge Springs Pennsylvania on June 1. 1929. Born into a farming family in Venango Pennsylvania she worked hard to help her family. After High School graduation she was eager to leave the farm seeking adventure and employment. Her travels landed her in Sea Island Georgia where she worked at the Cloister Hotel and met her husband Rudolph Taylor. They lived and worked in Georgia where her daughters were born. The family made a move to Naples Florida and soon after her husband died at an early age. After finding a new home in Colorado she married Howard Pardee. They lived in Monument and Colorado Springs. After his death she moved to Montrose Colorado where she enjoyed her church families and her volunteer work at a local food bank. Eventually she moved to Glenwood Springs to be closer to family where she lived quite happy and content for many years until her passing.
She loved her family and would travel back to Pennsylvania to help her father take care of the bees and collect honey. Exercising and studying her bible was part of her daily routine and she made sure to take a walk each day. She enjoyed knitting and being outside in the sunshine. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, family and friends. After those visits you were never left wondering how she felt about things.
Her faith was strong and unwavering she prayed for her family, friends and her country. She looked forward to each day she was given and was grateful for each one.
Her final wishes were for her family to gather together on a warm day in the spring to spread her ashes.
She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
