Obituary: Thomas Rex Bracewell

Thomas Rex Bracewell, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on November 7, 2025 in Carbondale, Co. He is survived by his life partner, Peggy Beeler, and sisters Susan Bolger & Sylvia Bracewell of San Diego, Ca., niece Nicole Villalobos, nephew John Bolger (wife Regina) and nephew Michael Najera.
Tom was a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in microbiology. A longtime resident of Aspen, Co., Tom was a Collections System Superintendent for Aspen Sanitation District and worked there for 40 years. He also served his community through the Rotary Club of Aspen and was past president of the club.
Tom will be remembered by many as a generous, loving soul who enjoyed skiing, fishing, traveling, but he was most passionate about golf. He and Peggy traveled to Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and took a road trip through Canada. They also visited several special places in the U.S., many times with their golf clubs.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
