Obituary: William “Ray” Turner, Sr.
February 7, 1938 – October 30, 2024
William “Ray” Turner, Sr. went to his eternal home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on October 30, 2024. He was born to Erman Ray & Mattie Ella Turner on February 7, 1938. He grew up in Hayti, MO. At the age of 20yrs. old, he headed out for San Francisco, CA where he would eventually meet & marry his wife, Sharon N. Turner. He was a gifted mechanical engineer & worked in many of the high rise buildings in SF’s financial district & beyond. Ray went on to be the owner of his successful HVAC business.
After coming many years to Colorado to hunt elk, he was convinced that this was where he & his wife would eventually settle. And upon his retiring, they moved to Rifle, CO. It was a longtime dream to own a little acreage where he could have horses, relax & enjoy God’s amazing creations. He loved helping others & honoring God. Ray knew no strangers & was blessed to see so many of his dreams come true.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00am. It’s being held at New Life Fellowship Church, 2090 Whiteriver Ave., Rifle, CO.
