Patricia Joan Murphy

Patricia Joan Murphy, 80, of Battlement Mesa, CO, was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She joined our Heavenly Father on February 9, 2015.

Patricia was born in Denver, CO, on April 22, 1934, to John and Lena Carroll. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward, her parents and sister, Mary Ann Swift.

Patricia married the love of her life, Edward Carroll Murphy, on May 10,1958. Together they raised a beautiful family with six children, Kathleen Miller (Hal Winchester) of Arvada, CO, Rosemary Fraser (Frank) of Rifle, CO, Marlene Horne (Jim) of Brighton, CO, John Murphy (Lisa) of Thornton, CO, Joseph Murphy (Stacey) of Greeley, CO and Eileen Chavez of Westminster, CO. They were also blessed with 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and another on the way. She is also survived by her sister Catherine Knoblauch and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015, at Mount Olivet Chapel in Wheatridge, CO, at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
