Patricia Louise (Snyder) Zordel

It is with great sadness and an overwhelming sense of loss that the Family of Patricia “Pat” Zordel announces her passing. Pat was born in Aspen, Colorado, the daughter of Elsie and John Snyder. Pat had very fond memories of her childhood and growing up in Aspen in the early years.

Pat spent most of her adult life in Carbondale, Colorado, where she worked at the Alpine Animal Hospital for 47 years as a bookkeeper. She was a quiet, compassionate and gentle woman, a loving friend, mother and grandmother. She most enjoyed her time in her yard and garden. She loved many things, including animals, but most of all she loved flowers and plants of all kinds, especially roses.

Pat was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother Jim Snyder. Pat is survived by Tomie Keith Zordel, the father of her children, her son Donald James Zordel (Kim), Daughters, Donna Held (Randy), and Betty Jean Zordel (Rick). Her grandchildren, Tylor and Vanessa Kanas, and Brady and Dustin Held.

At Pat’s request, she was cremated and her remains will be spread by the family in a few of her favorite places in the spring, when the flowers that she loved are in full bloom.
