Paul H. Vandre

Paul H. Vandre, 60, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Paul was born in Rochelle, Illinois, on April 15, 1955, to Edna (McCaslin) Vandre and Herb Vandre. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. Following his graduation, he moved to Colorado. Paul was the familiar face behind the camera in the Glenwood Springs community for three decades. He operated the local public access cable TV station and broadcast many local government meetings as well as school and community events throughout the valley. Paul’s favorite things were watching his two favorite football teams, the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears, and walking his loyal dog Digger. Paul always had a big smile and kind words for all he met.

Paul is survived by his longtime partner, Blair Lowery, Silt, CO, his siblings, Ruth Bunger, Rochelle, Illinois, Dean Vandre, Mendota, Illinois, Mark Vandre, Fort Worth, Texas, and Gary Vandre, Mahomet, Illinois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 2 PM.
