Russell Wesley Scarber

Russell was born in Wilmington, Indiana, to Elizabeth (Kappler) and Elijah Scarber. He graduated from Moores Hill High School in 1953 in a class of 18. He was married to Myrtle (Korengel) for 52 years. They had four children: Alice Schultz, Allen, Sara (Dan) Lusby and Charley (Michelle). There are eleven grandchildren; Anne and Sheila Schultz, Lisha (Keith) Moores, Pamela Scarber, Eric, Robin, Emily, Danielle and Mason Lusby, Alexandra and Elijah Scarber. Also, three great-grandchildren; Mariah Mobley, Terrell Scarber and Brenden Wurtzler.

Russell is a 57-year Master Mason, member of the Royal Arch, Council and Scottish Rite. He was twice Master of Allen Lodge #165 A.F. and A.M. in Moores Hill and twice Master of Rifle Lodge #129 A.F. and A.M.

There will be a Viewing at 1 p.m., Christian and Masonic Services starting at 2 p.m. at the Rifle Funeral Home in Rifle, Colorado, with Burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Russell requested no flowers, but send memorials to First Christian Church of Rifle, P.O. Box D, Rifle, Colorado 81650 or the Rifle Masonic Lodge #129, Railroad Avenue, Rifle, Colorado 81650.
