Stella Carturier Bianco

Stella Carturier Bianco, a longtime resident of the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys, passed away on August 19, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Stella was born June 7, 1927, at home in Emma, Colorado, to James and Berlena Carturier.

Stella married Mike Bianco on March 15, 1947. Stella ranched with her husband for many years and worked as a housekeeper in Aspen. The couple retired in Silt, Colorado, where Stella became active in senior citizen activities.

Stella is survived by her children, Michael (Karen) Bianco of Longmont, and Lois (Dan) Vetter of Palisade, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Pauline Haller of Grand Junction, many friends and family.
