Wade Vail Mortensen

On the morning of December 29th 2014 with his children at his bed side, Wade Mortensen passed away peacefully.

Wade was born June 11, 1962 to Vilas and Marine Mortensen of Commerce City, CO.

Wade grew up in Commerce City and graduated with honor role in 1980 from Adams City High School. Wade married his high school love, Peggy O’Neal in September 1980.

To this union 5 children were born. Vilas, Ray, Bobbie, Nicholas, and Amanda. Wade and Peggy parted ways 1995, but remained friends over the years. Wade was a truck driver and mechanic by trade. He also did some carpentry work from time to time. Wade loved camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, playing pool and hanging with his friends at the bar. Wade loved all kinds of music, but mostly country. Wade was a very kind sweet and very generous. Wade always did anything he could for anyone, especially his children, and family. He loved to spend as much time with his family as he could.

Wade is survived by his children — Vilas (Ashley) Silt, CO, Ray (Tessa) New Castle, CO, Bobbiesue (Carlos) Rifle, CO, Nicholas (Kelsie ) Glenwood Spgs, CO, and Amanda (Tim) New Castle, CO. His 8 grandchildren, Shon, Michael, Damon, Jesse, Gavin, Camron, Sierra, and Serenity. His Mother Maurine, brother Wes, Sister Jeannie, Brother in-law Glenn (Lorene) O’Neal and ex-wife, along with many family and friends.

Wade will always be missed, but never far from our hearts.
