Office supply deal inked

The Garfield County Commissioners chose Sandy’s Office Supply as the county’s office supply provider at Monday’s commission meeting.

The contract is for a maximum of $150,000, and extends through 2004.

In other business at Monday’s meeting, the commissioners:

– Awarded a $419,000 contract to Correctional Healthcare Management, Inc. to provide medical and dental services to Garfield County jail inmates.

– Agreed to pay the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments $2,000 to help fund an annual cost-of-living study.

– Sent a letter to the Great Outdoors Colorado program, urging it to consider funding noxious weed management projects.

– Approved a liquor license renewal for Rifle Fireside Lanes.

– Authorized $1,382 for county attorney Don DeFord to attend a civil rights and tort conference in San Diego.
