Officials find two bodies in Colo. River

Two bodies have been found in the Colorado River since Friday. While searching Friday for a 17-year-old boy who had walked away from the Emily Griffith Center in Rifle on Monday, Garfield County Search and Rescue found the body of an adult male in the water west of Parachute. The man’s body was found at 11 a.m. Friday. Authorities have not been able to identify the man’s remains. An autopsy was being performed on Saturday to determine how the man died, Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario said.At 11 a.m. Saturday, the search team found the body of the 17-year-old one mile west of the Rulison exit on Interstate 70, approximately four miles from where he was believed to have entered the river.The boy’s name has not yet been released.
