Olathe brushes off Beetdiggers to claim 2A title

AURORA, Colorado – If the Brush Beetdiggers could have forced Olathe to punt a few more times, the outcome might have been different.

Olathe running back Kyle Piatt, however, made sure that didn’t happen.

The Pirates overcame two disastrous punt attempts in the first half and rode the multiple talents of Piatt in the second half to claim their second Class 2A state championship in three years with a 14-13 victory at Legacy Stadium.
