Old movies make a comeback during Friday Night Flicks

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” You may have yourself a busy schedule, but movies are like JELL-O, there’s always room for them. Tonight kicks off the second annual Friday Night Flicks event at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. Thanks to the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association, the Roaring Fork Young Professionals, Bighorn Toyota and American National Bank, folks can enjoy four, free movies this month, starting at dusk (with gates opening at 7:30 p.m.) each Friday through the 22nd. On the program’s finale, which will screen “The Wizard of Oz,” there will be a pre-show gala, including a costume contest, movie trivia and live music. Until then, enjoy these other, family-oriented celluloid selections.
