On weekend of Glenwoods biggest festival, even city bus service is free
Ride Glenwood Springs shuttles will be free to riders during Strawberry Days, June 18-20, with extended hours until 11 p.m. to accommodate evening carnival and festival attendees.The city of Glenwood Springs is waiving the regular $2-per-day fare to promote the advantages of taking the bus around town.The Community Center (Orange) Route stops at the northeast corner of Sayre Park every hour.Southbound shuttles will stop at the park at 20 minutes past each hour and northbound shuttles stop 47 minutes past each hour from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.Both the Highway 6 & 24 (Blue) Route and the Community Center (Orange) Route stop at Safeway, southbound at 53 minutes and 23 minutes as well as northbound at 15 minutes and 45 minutes past each hour, respectively.For a complete schedule go to http://www.ci.glenwood-springs.co.us/transpo/1a-1_1.htm, or pick up a Ride Glenwood Springs bus schedule at the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association.
