One dead in Denver after officer-involved shooting
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
DENVER (AP) ” One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in west Denver.
Authorities say it happened between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 3200 block of West Ada Place.
Police say it’s not clear exactly what transpired, but that the person was shot after a foot chase.
Details are sketchy, and police aren’t saying why the man was being chased or whether the suspect fired at the officer.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says the incident is still under investigation.
Authorities do say the officer who was involved in the shooting is a seven-year police veteran.
