Only half the story at Sing For America

Tamara Dodero

Dear Editor,

I am writing in regards to the Crystal River Elementary School’s “Sing for America” program last Thursday evening.

I feel that in addition to the photos that were taken of the Traditional Mexican Dance group that there should have been pictures of the children performing from Crystal River Elementary.

It was a very touching performance and the fact that we have such young children who are learning how important it is to be proud of our country, especially with the tragedy of Sept. 11.

I am not opposed to the Mexican dancers. They did a wonderful job. However, I feel that the paper could have done a better job in honoring the other children that worked so hard as well!

Sincerely,

Tamara Dodero
