Bill Owens to the Colorado Small Business Council.• Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse – for owners David and Cece Zumwinkle’s receipt of the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine for three straight years.• Kjell Mitchell, general manager of the Hot Springs Lodge & Pool – for receiving the Chairman’s Award from the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association.• Kris Chadwick – for the City Council member and commercial property owner’s renovation of the Chadwick Building at 311 8th St.• Lakota Canyon Ranch – for recognition of its New Castle golf course by several publications. The facility’s club pro is Tom Underwood.• Mountain Sports Outlet – for its arrival in Glenwood Springs, where it opened at Sixth and Pine streets under manager Mike Daulton.• Rolf Hermanson of Thrivent Financial – for receiving several awards last year for outstanding sales achievement.• Valley View Hospital – for opening several new facilities last year, the 50th anniversary of the hospital.• Gary Brewer – in recognition of the Valley View chief executive officer’s leadership of the hospital, which has been named one of the top 100 hospitals nationwide.• White House Pizza – for Kurt and Marla Korn’s recently completed remodeling of their Carbondale restaurant.- DECA Entrepeneur of the Year: Kevin and Kathy Schneider, owners of Glenwood Canyon Resort.- Workman’s Comp Award: McDonald’s won the Safety Award and Toby’s Vacuum Truck Service won the Most Improved Safety Award.- Small Business Development Center Award: to instructor Jerry Pradier.- The AAA (Awesome Ambassador Award), to Joe Napier of Mountain Valley Developmental Services, for 100 percent attendance as a chamber ambassador.- Chamber scholarship recipients: Danielle Collins, Eric Whiting and Kiley Carlson
