Four Mile Road will be closed approximately 12.5 miles up the road from Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort. The closures will begin Monday, July 21, and will continue through July 25, according to a press release from the White River National Forest Service, Aspen-Sopris Ranger District.

The WRNF is installing a culvert on the Four Mile Road, County Road 300, at the junction of Four Mile Road and West Divide Road, NFSR 800. WRNF advised forest visitors that this portion of road will be closed for the entirety of the project.

The culvert will restore unrestricted movement along the stream corridor for all aquatic species including fish, salamanders, toads, and frogs.

The Colorado Wildlife Commission voted to adopt a season-year Small Game and Fishing License in place of the current calendar-year license at it’s July 10 meeting in Durango.

The new dates for valid fishing and small games licenses changes from Jan. 1-Dec. 31 of each year to run from April 1-March 31. The changes mean that all 2008 small game and fishing calendar year licenses will be valid until March 31, 2009, and that subsequent small game and fishing licenses will be valid from April 1 to March 31 of the following year.
