The Glenwood Springs Recreation Department is offering a youth mountain bike trip to Moab, Utah, in May. The three-day excursion leaves at 8 a.m. Friday, May 13, and returns at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15.The focus of the trip will be terrain and techniques on slick rock and other desert ground cover, such as sand and streams, for riders of all abilities. The trip is open to ages 12-17 and participants must provide their own mountain bikes. Helmets are required.The fee is $72 ($90 nonresident) and includes food, fuel, camping fee and transportation. Colorado State Parks invites wildflower enthusiasts to participate in the Tour de Fleur this summer. Tour de Fleur includes 16 state parks – Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area, Boyd Lake, Crawford, Eleven Mile/Spinney, Eldorado Canyon, Golden Gate Canyon, Highline Lake, Lory, Mueller, Navajo, North Sterling, Ridgway, State Forest, Steamboat Lake, Trinidad Lake and Vega.Annual passes, good for the Tour de Fleur and unlimited use at all 41 state parks, are available for $55.Information: http://www.parks.state.co.us.

The Mother’s Day Mile needs volunteers to help with pie baking, registration, finish-line timing, entertainment, pie serving, course marshals, water station, set up and take down on Sunday, May 8.
