Parachute mayor semi-disappointed

Dear Editor,

Thank you for the semi-endorsement in the March 27 editorial. I find it semi-refreshing and, without talking with you before you went to print, semi-accurate.

It seems as though your editorial semi-endorsement of my opponent was not even semi-researched. After all these years we have known each other, I wasn’t even given a call or did the occasion for a conversation ever come up.

Without sounding like semi-sour grapes, I find it hard to believe that you find my time being stretched, when I am only active with the town as mayor and a planning and zoning member. I have not been on the school board since Nov. 1, 2001.

My 52-year-old body is energetic, and I still have lucid thoughts. So I am not even close to being semi-stretched.

My opponent, it seems, serves on four different boards and according to your standards would seem to be beyond stretched.

In closing, certainly endorse who you feel comfortable with, but at least do the homework and base your endorsements on correct information.
