Pat McNeel of Billings, Mont., died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the Eagle Cliff Manor Nursing Home. She was 62.

She was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Klamath Falls, Ore.

She married Hank McNeel 28 years ago.

She was known by her friends as a straight shooter, and everyone knew where they stood with her. She loved the outdoors and animals.

She is survived by her husband, Hank McNeel; by daughter and son-in-law Marty and Wendell Carlson; by a son, Wyatt Paxton; by stepsons Russell McNeel and Randy McNeel; by stepdaughter Tammy Greenwald; by her mother, Lillian Sewald; by a brother, Dennis Sewald; and by four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

If you want to say goodbye, look at the Western sky this evening when the stars come out, tip your head or a glass and say, “Here’s to you, Pat.” That is all she would want.

Memorial donations may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107.
