Pattillo, Weiss ahead in CMC race

John Pattillo, of Glenwood Springs, and Helen Ginandes Weiss, of Leadville, won in the Garfield, Pitkin and Eagle County parts of the Colorado Mountain College district board of directors race Tuesday.

Results from the other three counties ” Lake, Summit and Routt ” were not available at press time.

Pattillo defeated Tom Boas, also of Glenwood Springs, in the District 2 race.



Weiss defeated Leadville Mayor Chet Gaede in the District 6 race.

Pattillo is a senior vice president and marketing manager for WestStar Bank in Glenwood Springs.



Weiss is an education writer and lecturer, and former teacher.

Board members Richard Bateman of Summit County (District 4), and Robert Dick of Routt County (District 5) ran unopposed.
