Paul E. Johnson, of Benton, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at his home. He was 73.He was born July 1, 1929, in Macedonia, Ill., to Clyde and Nellie Poynor Johnson.He served in the Korean War.He loved to hunt and fish and listen to country music. He worked as a regional manager for Colorcraft.He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Johnson; first wife Joy Owens Johnson; brother David Robert Johnson; and sister Betty Ferando.He is survived by wife Wilma Johnson, of Clifton, Colo; daughters and sons-in-law Debra L. and Charles Robert Sharp, of Rifle, Colo., and Tammy L. and Clint Summers, of Grand Junction, Colo.; stepdaughter Amanda Chapman; stepson Tony Gonzalez; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters and two brothers.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, Ill. Burial with military rites will be at the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton.Morton & Johnston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
