Paul E. Klomhaus

Paul E. Klomhaus died July 3, 2005. He was 52 years old.Paul was a general contractor and co-owner of Klomhaus and Waller General Contracting. He was a resident of Silt for the past 6 years.Paul was born on June 21, 1953, in Chicago, to Karl and Lorraine Klomhaus, and grew up in Arvada, Colo.On March 17, 1990, Paul married Christine Singleton in Nantucket, Mass. He coached soccer, and loved books, reading and spending time with his family. He had a tremendous wit and used it well.Paul was a member of the Congregational Church of the Valley.Survivors include his wife, Christine Singleton, of Silt; son, Samuel Klomhaus, of Silt; daughter Eileen Klomhaus, of Silt; brother Rick Klomhaus, of Thornton; sisters Peggy Ledezma, of Arvada, Karen Demgen, of Littleton, and Judy Salcido, of Thornton; and his brother and sister-in-law Pete and Gina Waller, of Glenwood Springs; and many nephews and nieces.He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Klomhaus.Memorial contributions may be made to the Klomhaus children’s education fund at the Bank of Colorado in Glenwood Springs or the Congregational Church of the Valley.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Congregational Church of the Valley in Silt. The Rev. James Warn will officiate.Farnum-Holt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
