Yes, I want peace; where can I find peace?

I find nothing I do brings the peace

I do everything in my power in seeking peace

I go to peace marches, I travel to foreign lands

I write letters to the editor, I press for love, not war.

I believe God is a God of love.

Where, oh where, do I go wrong?

Listen, listen, listen

I hear a tender peaceful song; could it be?

The one I’m told that brings that peace along.

To me.

He tells me of the love he has

for all mankind.

He tells me why he sent his son; so loving and so kind.

He tells me he was willing to travel to a foreign land

and to march

The barren ways of man.

He also wrote to us a book, just so we might see

God

has sent a helping hand
