June 8, 1924 – October 1, 2004Peggy Jane Miller, 80, of Rifle died Friday, Oct. 1 at Grand River Hospital in Rifle.No services are scheduled.Peggy was a resident of Rifle for five years. She was born on June 8, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., to Harley and Frances (Martin) Wiles. She spent her childhood in Missouri and later married J.J. “Red” Miller on July 11, 1943, in Miami. She was a homemaker and former resident of Show Low, Ariz.Peggy loved crafts, knitting, quilting, sewing and was an avid reader, spending much time at the library. She was very proud of all of her family and loved animals, caring for many cats and dogs over the years.She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dr. Patrick J. “P.J.” Miller and wife, Annie, of Rifle, and Terry Miller of California; four grandchildren, Kellie and Courtney Miller of Portland, Ore., and Jay and Lisa Miller of California; and one great-grandchild, Anthony Robinson of Portland, Ore. She is also survived by special friend and daughter-in-law, Alma Miller of California.One son, Michael Miller, preceded her in death.Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice, P.O.
