New babies

Hallie Marie High was born to Jeff and Melissa High at 8:51 p.m. on Friday, May 25, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs. The little girl weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce at birth.

Mike and Trish Agnese of New Castle announce the birth of Isabella Francesca Agnese at 6:28 p.m. on May 14, 2002, at Valley View Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

Her grandparents are Patrick and Joanne Kelley of Shelton, Wash., Tom and Laura Beall of Oceanside, Ore., and Joseph and Jessica Agnese of Costa Rica.

Newitt earns doctorate

Shirley Newitt, on behalf of her late husband Harold, along with Fred and Kristi Schibi and all of Zane Newitt’s family and friends wish to congratulate Zane for earning his doctorate in theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary.

Zane will attend the graduation ceremony on June 2 and will graduate summa cum laude.

In addition to many other endeavors, Zane speaks and teaches locally and nationally on the origins, beliefs and impacts of ancient and modern secret cults and orders on society. Zane, his wife, Amity, and son Avery Patric Newitt reside in Rifle.

Dukas, Kennamer wed

Jim Dukas married Sandra Kennamer at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs on May 18.

Lotto winners

Martin Marissa of Basalt won $1,000 playing the Colorado Lottery’s 2 for the Money on May 22.

Richard Dever of Glenwood Springs won $1,000 playing the Colorado Lottery’s Jumbo Bucks.

Padilla graduates

Kimberly Leona Padilla will graduate with a bachelor of science in bioresources research from Oregon State University on June 16.

Lynda Dukas earned her bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder on May 10. She is a 1997 graduate with honors from Glenwood Springs High School.

Her plans are to attend a graduate school in California to earn her master’s degree in psychology.
