Petitions circulating on COPs

Joe O'Donnell, Nancy Stevens, Pat Girardot, Steve Perreault and Michelle Vogel

Dear Editor,

Citizens for Responsible City Spending has been formed to petition the Glenwood Springs City Council to put the proposed Certificate of Participation, which is primarily for funding a golf course, to a public vote.

The members of the committee are not necessarily opposed to the golf course, kayak park or the partial funding of the pool, but feel that Glenwood Springs voters should approve large-scale expenditures of city funds, such as a $12 million Certificate of Participation.

If readers of this letter would like to sign the petition and/or would be willing to assist in circulating the petitions, please contact any of the following committee members.

Thank you,

Joe O’Donnell, Nancy Stevens, Pat Girardot, Steve Perreault, Michelle Vogel
