Phelps getting out of politics, but not out of surveying biz
Garfield County Surveyor Sam Phelps isn’t running again for the county’s surveyor post in the Nov. 5 election. But the longtime professional surveyor is still running his land surveying company, SurvCo, Inc.
An article in Sunday’s edition led some readers to believe SurvCo has closed.
“I am not seeking election as county surveyor,” Phelps explained in a written statement. “However, my private land surveying business, SurvCo, Inc., is still in operation and we have every intention of serving past and future clients.”
SurvCo Inc. relocated more than one year ago from the Tamarack Building in Glenwood Springs to 6560 County Road 335, Suite 201, New Castle, CO 81647. SurvCo’s phone number is 984-9119.
