Carbondale’s Sopris Park and Main Street were abuzz with activity on Saturday at the 116th Potato Day Parade and Community BBQ. This year’s parade theme was “The Grate Spudsby,” and flappers, potatoes — and sometimes potato flappers — showed up in force to transport onlookers back to the Roaring ’20s.
