PI, Carbondale groups plan housing forum Feb. 3
Frustrated with the availability of affordable housing in the valley? Want to ensure that 21st century development takes place here? Hoping we can hold good teachers, other workers and creatives in our valley?
The Post Independent, Carbondale Creative District and The Third Street Center will hold a housing forum from 6:30-9 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Third Street Center in Carbondale.
The public is invited to be part of this important conversation. Topics will include:
• Affordability vs. attainability.
• Alternative housing projects such as micro housing and co-housing.
• What is working in Colorado and beyond?
• What is possible here?
• Next steps.
This conversation will be focused on the Glenwood to El Jebel area. Another housing forum focused on western Garfield County is planned in the near future, and a separate event Feb. 11 put on by Eagle County will look at the El Jebel/Basalt area.
More details will be forthcoming at carbondalearts.com, postindependent.com or in the PI.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
If you don't follow the rules, your comment may be deleted.
