Please, Sen. Allard, my horse is sick!

Dear Editor,

R.T. Moolick is truly a sage, unsparing with his horse sense. (Elect a Lawyer? Not, 10/30/02)

All my life I suffered under the mistaken impression that to prepare oneself to be a lawmaker one should learn the law. Now I find that the Moolick, Allard et. al., wisdom suggests otherwise. The best preparation for lawmaker, it seems, is the insightful discipline of animal medicine, but clearly not that of people medicine, because real doctors and dentists, much like lawyers, charge too much.

There is one problem. If we keep electing vets to be lawmakers, all our pets will go without care and many will die. That is unacceptable. Please, Sen. Allard, do the right thing and return to the career for which you were well trained.

Call Sen. Allard at home and tell him to come back to Colorado and take care of our animals.
