Post Independent to separate from Aspen Times tomorrow
Post Independent publisher
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
We announced the news a few weeks ago that the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and The Aspen Times would be separating, and wanted to remind you that it’s happening with tomorrow’s paper.
The merged editions were initiated two years ago as the recession hit the valley. Now we believe the economy is strong enough for each community to support its own newspaper.
The Post Independent will be a smaller paper over the coming months. We are hoping that advertisers will see a higher value in reaching our targeted readership in Garfield County, and help us expand the paper and support community journalism.
We are proud to be again standing on our own two feet, and look forward to providing our readers with a newspaper that will be more local than ever.
