Power outage hits southern part of Glenwood

Staff Report

An electrical problem caused a power outage in south Glenwood Springs Tuesday night.

A blown transformer reportedly was responsible for the loss of electricity at the 23rd Street traffic light, in the area south of 23rd Street on South Grand, and at some fast-food restaurants just to the north on Grand.

Police directed traffic at the intersection until power could be restored.

It reportedly went out at about 7:40 p.m. and was restored around 8:50 p.m.
