Pregnant women dies after shooting in Grand Junction
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
GRAND JUNCTION ” A woman in her third trimester of pregnancy is a dead and police are still looking for a suspect following a late-night shooting Sunday.
The woman, 23, was found shot lying in the street near the intersection of N. 26th Street and Belford Avenue shortly after 11 p.m, Grand Junction police said.
Police received a report of a shooting at 11:17 p.m.
The woman died of her injuries at St. Mary’s Hospital and her child was delivered via emergency C-section.
There was no further information on the condition of her child as of 7 a.m. Monday.
Police said the victim knew the male suspect.
