PALISADE, Colorado – The Glenwood Springs boys basketball team maintained its grip on first place in the 4A Western Slope League with a 67-39 win at Palisade on Friday.

Kevin Flohr scored 21 points to lead the Demons, who improved to 12-5 overall and to 8-0 in league play. Nick Ciani had 13 points, Kelbey Artaz 11, Russell Collins 10 and Danny Weller nine.

PALISADE, Colorado- Glenwood Springs’ girls snapped a three-game losing streak with a 57-46 win at Palisade on Friday.



Kenzie Kuhn scored 15 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Demons, who leveled their overall record at 8-8 and improved to 4-4 in the 4A WSL. Lexie Warkentin and Cassidy Gaddis scored 12 points apiece for Glenwood.

DELTA, Colorado – Behind 30 points from Cortney Cordova, Rifle’s girls remained atop the 4A WSL with a 74-62 win at Delta on Friday.



Ciara Euler added 17 points for the Bears, who also got 15 from Makayla Wilkins and 11 from Tresa Berner.

Rifle is a perfect 7-0 in league play and 11-4 overall.

DELTA, Colorado – Despite trailing by just five points at the end of the third quarter, Rifle’s boys found themselves on the wrong end of a 73-51 score at Delta on Friday.

Rian Creech led Rifle, now 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the 4A WSL, with 20 points. Tyler Rust scored 13 points despite fouling out in the fourth quarter.

GUNNISON, Colorado – Holding Gunnison to single digits in every quarter, Grand Valley’s girls coasted to a 51-26 over the host Cowboys on Friday.

The Cardinals improved to 12-2 overall and to 9-2 in the 3A WSL.

GUNNISON, Colorado – Grand Valley’s boys dropped a 53-46 decision at Gunnison on Friday.

Tyler Radel led the Cardinals, who fell to 6-7 overall and to 4-7 in the 3A WSL, with 19 points. Omar Melendrez had 12.

Bryce Johnston led Gunnison with 19 points. Emmet Guy added 17 points and several assists.

CARBONDALE, Colorado – Roaring Fork’s boys won for the second time in as many nights, beating visiting Cedaredge, 52-44, on Friday.

Jake Strack-Loertscher scored 21 points to lead the Rams, now 6-7 overall and to 6-4 in the 3A WSL. He also had 15 rebounds. Dalton Handy chipped in with nine points and Arick Zeigel and Jake Hawkins each scored seven points. Hawkins also hauled in 17 rebounds.

CARBONDALE, Colorado – Alli Zeigel’s 19 points weren’t enough to rally Roaring Fork’s girls past Cedaredge on Friday.

The visiting Bruins won, 55-30.
