Prep soccer roundup: Glenwood erupts for eight goals in rout of Devils

Scoring four goals in each half, Glenwood Springs recorded an 8-1 girls soccer win at Eagle Valley on Wednesday night.

Michaela Mansfield and Grace McSwain each buried a pair of goals and Corey Gera, Josie Pearson, Lilly McSwain and Laura McDermott found net once apiece as the Demons improved to 4-1-2 overall and to 4-0-1 in the 4A Western Slope League.

Next up for Glenwood is a home game against Moffat County on Monday.

Delta edged Grand Valley’s girls soccer team in overtime on Thursday, 2-1.

The Cardinals’ lone goal was scored by Lauren Paskett. Jordanne Williams assisted.

Grand Valley dropped to 6-4 with the defeat. The Cardinals will host Coal Ridge on Saturday.
