Prep Sports Roundup: Coal Ridge girls top Cedaredge

CEDAREDGE, Colorado – Paige Ryan finished with 26 points to pace the Coal Ridge High School girls basketball team, which rallied from a big early deficit for a 52-46 Class 3A Western Slope League victory over Cedaredge on Saturday.
Ryan finished 10-for-12 shooting from the free throw line for the Titans (8-8 overall, 7-6 league play), who were down 31-24 at halftime but held a 38-36 lead going into the fourth quarter. Amanda Wenzel added nine points for Coal Ridge in the win.
CEDAREDGE, Colorado – The Coal Ridge boys won for the third time this season, rallying from an eight-point first-quarter deficit for a 56-53 win over Cedaredge.
The Titans (3-13, 3-10) outscored the Bruins 18-14 in the final quarter to come away with the win. The victory was the second in two weeks after the Titans had lost six straight.
GUNNISON, Colorado – Sam Parker had 17 points to go with a game-high 18 points from Trent Reidle, helping the Grand Valley boys top Gunnison 60-46 for their second consecutive win.
Tyler Scott added 10 points and Wyatt Hurst chipped in eight points and nine rebounds for the Cardinals.
GUNNISON, Colorado – Grand Valley’s girls won for the fourth consecutive game, prevailing 48-31 against Gunnison on Saturday.
The victory for the Cardinals (12-4, 10-3 league) moved them into a tie for second place in the 3A Western Slope League standings.
