Prep Volleyball Roundup: Volleyball Bears take down Bulldogs

Kimmie Rausin smashed six kills and six aces and Leah Antonelli finished up with five kills and seven digs as Rifle’s volleyball team rolled to a three-game win at Moffat County on Thursday.

The Bears won by game counts of 25-16, 25-7 and 29-27.

Annie Schmidt added five kills and four solo blocks and Abby Orgill had 10 digs for Rifle, which improved to 2-3 overall.

“The team played excellent,” Bears coach Erin Reider said. “They pushed through in times where they were ahead and in times when they were down. It was a complete team effort. They played positive and high the entire time.”

Roaring Fork picked up a road win at Palisade on Thursday, taking down the Bulldogs in three games, 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

The win pushed the Rams’ overall record to 5-1.
